Officials and employees of the city government of Makati, led by Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay, will be paying tribute to City Engineer Nelson Morales in necrological rites to be held tomorrow, September 11, 2012 at the Makati City Hall Parking Building at 6:00pm.

Vice President Jejomar C. Binay is expected to attend the ceremony that will include a requiem mass, followed by a program where key officials, colleagues and co-workers will take turns in giving eulogies for Engr. Morales, who was slain in an ambush in Malinao, Albay last Friday.

Engr. Morales, who had served as chief of the Makati Department of Public Works and as City Engineer/Building Official since 1997, was one of the city officials who enjoyed the full trust of Vice President Binay during his term and of his son, incumbent Mayor Jun Binay.

At the time of his death, he was planning to run for mayor of Malinao, Albay, believing that he can bring to the people of his hometown the kind of service and dedication he gave to the people and city of Makati.

We invite you to join us and cover the ceremony.
