Makati opens satellite tax payment centers for 4th Quarter, October 2-12

Thirty-one satellite realty tax payment centers will be opened in various barangay halls in Makati starting October 2 for real property owners with taxes due this fourth and last quarter of 2018.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay said the payment centers will be open from 9 am to 4pm on scheduled dates in various barangays for the convenience of real property owners.

“The taxpayers should take advantage of this opportunity to pay their taxes without going to City Hall, and save on transportation costs and time,” she said.

The mayor said through the Realty Tax Division under the Finance Department, the city government ensures the efficiency of services at the satellite payment centers, where each transaction usually takes a maximum of five minutes. Taxpayers only need to present their previous receipt and pay the taxes due to receive an electronic receipt from the authorized tellers.

“We are bringing our services practically in your neighborhood as our way of showing our appreciation for your important contribution to the city’s continuing progress,” Mayor Abby said.

On October 2, the payment centers will be opened in Barangays Bel-Air and Urdaneta, followed by Magallanes and San Lorenzo on October 3.

The schedule for the rest of the week is as follows: October 4, Brgys. Dasmariñas and Forbes Park; and October 5, Brgys. Bangkal, Pio del Pilar, San Isidro, Palanan, and San Antonio.

The following week, the payment centers will be open to serve taxpayers, as follows: October 9 (Tuesday), Brgys. La Paz, Sta. Cruz, Singkamas, Tejeros, and Carmona.; October 10 (Wednesday), Kasilawan, Olympia, Valenzuela, Poblacion and Guadalupe Viejo; October 11 (Thursday), Guadalupe Nuevo, Pinagkaisahan, Pitogo, Cembo and South Cembo; and October 12 (Friday), West Rembo, East Rembo, Comembo, Pembo and Rizal.

Based on the city’s Revenue Code, Makati offers a five percent discount for quarterly payments made during the first 20 days of the quarter (October 20 for the fourth quarter). On the other hand, late quarterly payments will incur a penalty of two percent per month.
